THE EGGSCARGOSYSTEM

The EggsCargoSystem® was developed in 1999
as an alternative way for egg transportation. Until
than eggs, packed on paper trays, where moved
on metal trolleys or on wooden pallets. Placing the
stacks of eggs on the conveyors of egg handling
equipment, like grading machines, was done man-
ually. The EggsCargoSystem® allowed companies
to work with robots to pack and unpack the pal-
lets which was recognised as the biggest “game
changer” in the industry for a long time.
Because of it design, ensuring maximum egg pro-
tection, EggsCargoSystem® grants less than 3%
crack during transport. All the items of the system,
which are a pallet, divider and trays, are made of
the best quality virgin plastic material provided
with a UV stabilisation additive to slow done the
aging process of the plastic.
In the past 20 years over 300 million trays and
according pallets and dividers have been sold to over
1.200 customers in 124 countries. From the very
beginning the system is produced by Giordano Poul-
try Plast which has become the majority shareholder
in GI OVO since 2018. Besides the production in
TRADITIONAL ECS XL Italy, the EggsCargoSystem® is also produced in
the United States, Malaysia and Brasil.
