ATLAS: EFFECTIVE CULTIVATION AFTER CORN HARVEST
The ATLAS range of heavy disc cultivators is the ideal choice for fast and efficient field cultivation after corn harvest or when incorporating organic matter, which not only improves soil structure but also makes it easy to process large quantities of plant residues. This robust disc cultivator is designed specifically for difficult conditions such as fields with corn stubble and ensures perfect mixing of plant material with the soil.
Key features of the ATLAS heavy disc cultivator
The ATLAS is equipped with 620 mm-diameter discs, the aggressive shape of which ensures efficient cutting and mixing of corn residues up to 16 cm deep, thus promoting faster decomposition of organic material. The machine can also be equipped with the TRASH CUTTER cutting roller, which is the ideal choice for cutting plant residues and tough stems. The tillage depth can be conveniently adjusted from the tractor cab using the BEDNAR EASY CONTROL electro-hydraulic control. The special X-shaped disc arrangement (X-PRECISE system) ensures perfect guidance of the machine in the tractor track, without side drift, allowing full use of the working width of the machine even at higher working speeds. The key advantage is the spacing of the individual working sections, allowing processing of larger quantities of material without the risk of clogging the machine.
The front and rear rows of the disc section are more than 145 cm apart, and the distance of the discs to the rear packer is up to 155 cm. The cutting roller of the TRASH CUTTER (ø 300 mm) is ideal for cutting crop residues after winter rapeseed, sunflower, corn and catch crops.
Practical results after corn harvest
Cultivation with the ATLAS not only quickly converts the corn residue into soil organic matter, but also creates ideal conditions for subsequent work, for example soil preparation for the next crop. Moreover, the machine’s robust design, high material throughput and ability to be deployed in wetter conditions make the ATLAS a great tool for efficient cultivation.
The ATLAS heavy disc cultivator is available in working widths ranging from 5 to 12.4 metres, enabling efficient tillage of large areas.
