AgraME the largest and advanced agricultural trade event in the Middle East and Africa
AgraME is the most advanced agriculture event in the Middle East and North Africa region. Held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MoCCE), the conference aims to bring together 5000 industry professionals from all over the world to discuss solutions to ensure food security. The event will take place a month before the region hosts COP28, providing a vital opportunity to discuss the latest innovative specialized solutions in the sector.
This year’s edition of AgraME is particularly significant as it will address the most pressing issues in the agriculture industry, such as sustainable agriculture, controlled environment growing, horticulture, ag-tech, aquaculture, and animal husbandry. Professionals from different parts of the world will exhibit and showcase solutions related to these topics. The conference will focus on solutions from innovative companies that provide innovative solutions to the region. Esteemed business leaders, such as His Excellent Mohammed Mousa Alameeri, the Assistant Under Secretary of the Food Diversity Sector at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Dr Pierre Broun, Director of Climate Proof Agriculture at Neom, Dr Juan Carlos Motamayor, Executive Director, Food Sector, Neom, Michelle Gallo, Head of Aquatic Research Facilities Design at AquaBioTech Group, and many others will be among the list of speakers.
According to Brent Crosbie, Exhibition Director of AgraME, this year’s event will bring together the world’s leading technologies, products, and innovations to a forum that will combine the key decision makers, minds, investors, policy makers, and government level authorities from across the MENA region and internationally. The goal is to create the most paramount business experience for both parties. The organizers expect to double the size of the exhibition in 2023, raise the level of speakers and content, and be the real driving force behind the region’s push towards creating a local sustainable food production resource here in the Middle East.
The sessions during this year’s AgraME are designed to engage attendees in all various components of the agriculture and aquaculture industries. The aim is to ensure that they take various initiatives in line with the UAE and the region’s vision for food security. More than 5000+ local and international industry professionals meet in Dubai every year to showcase their products and solutions aimed at achieving self-reliance in food production. The event is also co-presented alongside AgroFarm and two other key vertical event platforms: AquaME and HortiME.
HortiME represents the first vertical farming event in the Middle East, addressing critical challenges around the arid nature of the land and the technologies and processes that are advancing agricultural processes in the region. AquaME focuses on aquaculture, which has become a vital component of food production in the region due to the availability of seawater and brackish water resources
