Status\u00ae,<\/a> containing award-winning technology MTU\u00ae<\/a> and pidolic acid, has been granted CE Mark certification under the European Union\u2019s new Fertilising Products Regulation<\/a> (EU 2019\/1009 \u2013 the FPR). This means it is now available for use by growers across all 27 member states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IntraCrop\u2019s leading biostimulant product offers complementary modes of action to increase plant response by combining effects of MTU\u00ae on photosynthesis and pidolic acid on nitrogen assimilation. In healthy conditions, Status\u00ae increases green leaf retention and improves nutrient use efficiency, resulting in higher yield and quality. In stressed conditions, Status\u00ae protects the photosynthetic apparatus and improves plant resilience, resulting in quicker stress recovery, protecting yield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Mark Palmer<\/a>, Commercial Director for IntraCrop, said, \u201cThe new FPR expects manufacturers to provide clear efficacy data to ensure the product meets label claims. IntraCrop is a science-led organisation with a strong trials programme and is therefore comfortable in meeting these requirements. In trials of Status\u00ae, improvements in chlorophyll production and photosynthetic activity typically range from 20-50% depending on circumstances, which translates into yield benefits of 5-20%.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the last six months, Status\u00ae and MTU\u00ae have been making waves throughout Europe, being presented at the Biostimuants World Congress<\/a>, Fima Agricola<\/a>, and as a topic on Phytoma Meets.<\/a> Hailed as a \u2018new generation of biostimulants\u2019 Status\u00ae has undergone a variety of stringent trials, meaning its specific mode of action is well understood and growers have the ability to clearly define a dose rate for it with realistic expectations of what it will deliver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jaroslav Nisler, who led on the development of MTU\u00ae, only available in Status\u00ae, told us, \u201cThere hasn\u2019t been anything like it in Europe before. MTU\u00ae achieves remarkable results at very low dose rates (0.5g\/ha), which is very unique. Status\u00ae helps a variety of crops deal better in challenging climates by improving nitrogen use efficiency. It builds the resilience required to deal with the abiotic stresses which, sadly, is become increasingly more common in crop production. In trials with wheat, leaves exposed to periods of drought, heat or salinity, for example, remained green for longer and recovered much better when treated with Status\u00ae.\u201d Dr Palmer concludes, \u201cWe are proud to have achieved this CE Mark certification and know that growers and distributors can now move forward with complete confidence in the product. Status\u00ae is a highly effective crop input for European farmers and will help them to protect yields in extreme weather events.
