{"id":1259,"date":"2021-06-28T12:59:26","date_gmt":"2021-06-28T12:59:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fanarpublishing.net\/arabworldagribusiness\/?p=1259"},"modified":"2021-06-28T13:46:23","modified_gmt":"2021-06-28T13:46:23","slug":"givaudan-and-buhler-open-protein-innovation-centre-in-singapore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.fanarpublishing.net\/arabworldagribusiness\/food-products-37-4\/givaudan-and-buhler-open-protein-innovation-centre-in-singapore\/","title":{"rendered":"Givaudan and B\u00fchler open Protein Innovation Centre in Singapore"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Givaudan,&nbsp;a&nbsp;global&nbsp;leading company in Taste and Wellbeing, and B\u00fchler, global leader for food processing solutions,&nbsp;today&nbsp;jointly&nbsp;announced the official opening of&nbsp;the&nbsp;APAC Protein Innovation Centre.&nbsp;Located at&nbsp;the Givaudan Woodlands site in Singapore, the Protein&nbsp;Innovation Centre&nbsp;is&nbsp;jointly run&nbsp;and supported&nbsp;by&nbsp;experts from&nbsp;both companies&nbsp;and is connected to a&nbsp;vast&nbsp;network of&nbsp;R&amp;D&nbsp;innovation&nbsp;centers&nbsp;in Switzerland and key hubs across the region&nbsp;that enables&nbsp;agile plant-based&nbsp;product development on a global scale.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;Protein Innovation Centre&nbsp;in Singapore&nbsp;welcomes food processing companies, start-ups and university researchers from&nbsp;across&nbsp;the Asia Pacific&nbsp;(APAC)&nbsp;region&nbsp;keen&nbsp;to&nbsp;co-create&nbsp;plant-based&nbsp;food experiences that do good and feel good.&nbsp;The Centre combines&nbsp;the&nbsp;pilot&nbsp;technology&nbsp;of B\u00fchler\u2019s&nbsp;extrusion&nbsp;and processing equipment with&nbsp;Givaudan\u2019s&nbsp;new culinary facilities&nbsp;and its world-leading expertise in&nbsp;flavor, taste, ingredient,&nbsp;and product development.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outfitted with&nbsp;a pilot scale wet and dry extruder,&nbsp;a&nbsp;state-of-the-art&nbsp;product development kitchen, storage facilities, meeting amenities and a viewing area where visitors may tour the&nbsp;400-square-meter&nbsp;facility and view live demonstrations, the&nbsp;Protein&nbsp;Innovation Centre is constructed with the end-to-end process of plant-based&nbsp;protein&nbsp;production in mind.&nbsp;Businesses&nbsp;will also benefit from support&nbsp;throughout the co-creation process,&nbsp;from&nbsp;raw material selection to&nbsp;product development and research, to application,&nbsp;flavor&nbsp;science, extrusion,&nbsp;and consumer&nbsp;testing.&nbsp;At the&nbsp;Centre, customers&nbsp;can&nbsp;develop high-quality&nbsp;products&nbsp;suitable for Asian culinary applications&nbsp;at scale.
